THE NATURAL THERAPY FOR HEADACHE

THE NATURAL THERAPY FOR HEADACHE

Natural Therapy For Headaches!
In about 5 mins, your headache will go.......

The nose has a left and a right side.
We use both to inhale and exhale.
Actually they are different.
You'll be able to feel the difference.

The right side represents the sun.
The left side represents the moon.

During a headache, try to close your right nose
and use your left nose to breathe.
In about 5 mins, your headache will go.

If you feel tired, just reverse, close your left nose
and breathe through your right nose.
After a while, you will feel your mind is refreshed.

Right side belongs to 'hot', so it gets heated up easily.
Left side belongs to 'cold'.

Most females breathe with their left noses,
so they get "cooled off" faster.
Most of the guys breathe with their right noses,
they get worked up.

Do you notice, the moment you awake, which side breathes better?
Left or right ?
If left is better, you will feel tired.
So, close your left nose and use your right nose for breathing..
You will feel refreshed quickly.

Do you suffer from continual headaches?
Try out this breathing therapy.

Close your right nose and breathe through your left nose.
Your headaches will be gone.
Continued the exercise for one month.

Why not give it a try.....a natural therapy without medication.

Got High Blood Pressure ? Cook with sesame seed oil, and get off the meds!

Sesame oil (also known as gingelly oil or til oil) is an edible vegetable oil derived from sesame seeds. The oil is obtained from both raw seeds (called cold-pressed sesame oil) and toasted seeds, and is valued for its long shelf life and high heat tolerance.
Health experts believe that sesame seed oil may be beneficial for Research suggests that including sesame seed oil in the diet can lower a person's blood pressure. A study done at Annamalai University showed that high blood pressure patients that were taken off of their blood pressure medication and given sesame seed oil had their blood pressure drop to normal levels.

Researchers believe the vitamin E and sesamin contained in sesame seed oil are responsible for the healthful benefits to high blood pressure patients. Sesame seed oil has other health benefits that can indirectly benefit high blood pressure patients. It is high in polyunsaturated fats and contains high amounts of antioxidants. Polyunsaturated fats are good fats that help lower cholesterol. Sesame seed oil does not contain saturated fats, which are bad fats that can cause high cholesterol.

It could be used in cooking in place of other edible oils and to help reduce high blood pressure and lower the amount of medication needed to control hypertension.

Oil Pulling

For almost a year now, I've been religiously Oil Pulling each morning .... or, as my dad so humorously calls it, “having a pull”. We’re a classy bunch in our house!

After my morning meditation I come downstairs to the kitchen where my dad has already got the coconut oil ready to go. When the mornings are chilly, we have to put the coconut oil jar in hot water for a minute so that it turns from a solid back into liquid. I pour some oil onto a tablespoon, add a couple of drops of oregano oil (great anti-bacterial and anti-fungal oil) and spoon it into my mouth. Then I swish the oil around for 20 minutes while I sit outside on my daybed and read a book. This is the best start to the day!

An ancient Ayurvedic ritual, Oil Pulling was introduced to the modern world in 1992 by Dr. F. Karach, MD. He claimed that oil pulling could cure a variety of illnesses, ranging from heart disease and digestive troubles to hormonal disorders.

Oil pulling has many benefits. So many, in fact, that I bought a whole book on the topic called Oil Pulling Therapy: Detoxifying & Healing the Body Through Oral Cleansing by naturopathic physician Bruce Fife.

“The oil acts like a cleanser. When you put it in your mouth and work it around your teeth and gums it “pulls” out bacteria and other debris,” says Bruce Fife.

“As simple as it is, oil pulling has a very powerful detoxifying effect. Our mouths are the home to billions of bacteria, viruses, fungi and other parasites and their toxins. Candida and Streptococcus are common residents in our mouths. It is these types of germs and their toxic waste products that cause gum disease and tooth decay and contribute to many other health problems including arthritis and heart disease. Our immune system is constantly fighting these troublemakers. If our immune system becomes overloaded or burdened by excessive stress, poor diet, environmental toxins and such, these organisms can spread throughout the body causing secondary infections and chronic inflammation, leading to any number of health problems.”

THE BENEFITS OF OIL PULLING

• Brighter, whiter teeth
• Healthier gums
• Prevents bad breath
• Increased energy
• Clearer mind
• Decreased headaches
• Clearer sinuses
• Alleviated allergies
• Better sleep
• Clearer skin
• Regulated menstrual cycles
• Improved lymphatic system
• Improved PMS symptoms

HOW TO OIL PULL

Oil pulling is best done first thing in the morning on an empty stomach.

Spoon a tablespoon of organic, cold-pressed vegetable oil (I like coconut best) into your mouth, and swish it around for 20 minutes before spitting it out.

Never swallow the oil, as the swishing will render it full of toxins, and be sure to brush your teeth and rinse your mouth thoroughly afterwards. I have a separate toothbrush that I use just for brushing my teeth after oil pulling, and I clean it each day with 3% hydrogen peroxide.

The first few times my gag reflexes reared themselves and it was a little difficult keeping the oil in my mouth, but I persisted and by the third day it was fine. If you have this problem too, I recommend sticking with it.

Some may disregard oil pulling because it is so simple (and we humans love to complicate everything), and some may under value it because it has not been scientifically tested. However, oil pulling is cheap, easy, and is backed up by so much anecdotal evidence that I couldn’t ignore it.

Already my teeth are whiter, my head is even clearer and my sleeping is better.

Give it a try.

Do YOU really Crave for ChoCOLATE???

What you need: Magnesium

Chocolate is one of the world's most commonly craved foods and, while you may feel as though you are addicted to the sweet treat, it is believed that what many of us are craving when we are hankering after some chocolate is in fact the mineral magnesium.

Healthy food swaps: Dark chocolate, nuts and seeds, medjool dates

To help ease chocolate cravings, make sure that you are getting enough magnesium in your daily diet through healthy sources such as nuts, seeds and pulses. Also, when those chocolate cravings strike, try switching to 85 per cent dark chocolate. Although chocolate can be high in fat, dark chocolate also has plenty of health benefits due to its abundance of antioxidants. Some of the reported health benefits include its ability to slow down muscle ageing, fight disease, prevent wrinkles, boost brain health and prevent heart disease. If dark chocolate doesn't hit the spot, try snacking on medjool dates, which are rich in magnesium and a natural solution to sugar cravings.

REDUCE WATER/FLUID RETENTION (EDEMA)

When you eat foods that are high in (refined) salt and drinking insufficient water, your body goes into "survival mode" and begins to retain water. Your cells may expand about 20x over with water, to dilute the salty environment. Celtic sea salt (the article of which I posted a few days ago) doesn't cause water retention.

If at the end of the day you have swollen feet; with ladies who encounter bloating prior to her monthly cycle; or pregnant mothers who have swollen hands and feet in her third trimester, these are WATER RETENTION.

However, CHRONIC EDEMA may have underlying causes like liver cirrhosis, heart problems, diabetes, infection or even allergies. In which case, please check with your professional healthcare provider.

Read more about the harmful effects of REFINED salt:

To RELIEVE water retention, AVOID:
Meat products, alcohol, caffeine, tobacco, dairy products (except yogurt), deep-fried foods, pickled foods, flavoring sauces, gravies, processed/refined foods, flour and sugar products, any foods that are salty or has MSG.

BENEFICIAL FOODS:
Eat foods that are high in fiber, most fruits and vegetables, especially alfalfa sprouts, asparagus, cantaloupe, celery, cucumber, pineapple, garlic, onions, watermelon and LOTS of water.

I find that drinking a big glass of watermelon juice daily for three days leading up to the "day of the month" helps relieve bloating to a great extent.
